Kickstarter Spotlight: The Commissary Columbus

Hey there, readers! Welcome to the first-ever edition of…

Kickstarter Spotlight The Commissary

It’s no secret that I love food (like, an inappropriate amount). And, I love Kickstarter and what it can do for budding businesses in the Columbus community. Recently, I read about The Commissary in (614) Magazine‘s new pub, Stock & Barrel, and I wanted to dig a little deeper. You guys: it’s SO badass!

Kate Djupe and Steve Concilla are championing this new vision of a shared space for foodies. It’s flexible enough for pop-ups, meetings, and classes where food makers and farmers can experiment, create, collaborate, and share. I’m fully obsessed with it.

{Disclaimer: no, I do not know Kate or Steve. No one asked me to write this post. Again, I just really, really enjoy my food and supporting local businesses.}

Now, I’ve been toying with the idea of starting my own food truck for awhile. (I have a Pinterest board dedicated to the effort.) To have access to something like this in Cbus would be SO amazing. I can’t wait to take advantage of the workshops and other fun events they are planning.

Let’s cheer her on!
