My Weekend in Pics + Things to Do in Columbus

How was your holiday weekend? Hopefully filled with family, friends, fun and FOOD. I loved taking a few moments here and there to flip through Facebook and Instagram and see how you all were celebrating! I had a fantastic weekend – check out these awesome things to do in Columbus…

Friday

We were all about the R&R. Brunch at Northstar followed by general laziness (much-needed, let me tell ya!). Although, I did squeeze in some Pilates – enough to go completely overboard on my calves and totally derail my 30-Day Pinterest Plank Challenge. That’s what I get for being aggressive with my fitness…

Saturday

A quick ride out to Springfield to scoop up Maddy. While we were there, we did a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Westcott House, which Michael always wanted to do but we had never made the time. It was such a beautiful property filled with so much history and architectural significance.

Back to Cbus for lunch at Milestone 229 and a selfie (or two) at Bicentennial Park fountains (where children who don’t have access to a pool can have the best day of their lives).

Our plan was to grab a CoGo bike and ride to the Short North for Gallery Hop and/or a Clippers Game, but since it was a far-ish ride and we didn’t have helmets, we forewent (is that a word?) the bike ride. In fact, the Clippers game was about sold out, and we were “too early” for Gallery Hop, so we just went home. I made Beef Wellington and we watched the Lego Movie. And then passed out like it was our job.

Sunday

After taking Maddy home, we replaced the broken kitchen lamp. Yay for DIY!

OLD: janky as hell.

NEW: bright and industrial.

Hershey also had a grand weekend tearing into her new cheeseburger toy.

Columbus Bucket List

Since we didn’t get to enjoy the CoGo bikes, and Maddy seemed really into it, we started making a Columbus Summer Bucket List. Here’s our start…

What are we missing? What’s on your Summer Bucket List?
